Carlos Maza
Mr. Carlos Maza is a graduate of Christopher Columbus High School. Mr. Maza is the SAT/ACT English specialist at Flores Tutoring and oversees all SAT/ACT scheduling.
Mr. Maza holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information
Systems and a Master of Fine Arts in creative writing, both from Florida
International University. He is an accomplished author of poetry and creative nonfiction pieces.
Mr. Maza has over 25 years of teaching experience. Mr. Maza has taught at the university level and currently teaches AP English and Honors British Literature with dual enrollment at Belen Jesuit. Mr. Maza is also an AP reader for the College
Board.
Ulises Orduñez
Mr. Ulises Orduñez, or Mr. O as he is affectionally called by students, is a graduate
of Christopher Columbus High School. Mr. O is the SAT/ACT Math specialist at
Flores Tutoring. Mr. O holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Florida
International University.
Mr. O has been teaching for over 30 years, ranging from 6 th grade all the way to
college level mathematics. Mr. O. currently teaches Calculus AB, Calculus BC,
and Multivariable Calculus at Belen Jesuit. With decades of experience in
education, Mr. O provides the high-level guidance students require to achieve the
academic mastery needed for success.
Mr. O is the Chair of the Math Department at Belen Jesuit.
