HSPT

This 20-class course is designed to prepare students in 8th grade who want to attend Lourdes, La Salle, Saint Brendan, Columbus, and others in 9th grade.

Course prepares the students for each of the five sections of the HSPT, and it is divided in two parts: Seven full practice tests and twelve teaching classes. Final class is used to answer any last minute questions, go over a quick review of all important material, and give students practical advice for the day of the entrance exam.

Practice tests give students the opportunity to familiarize students with the format of the HSPT, meaning the order and type of questions they will be facing in the actual entrance exam. All practice tests are 3 hours 30 minutes.

All teaching classes are 2 hours 45 minutes. Students will be given the opportunity to go over and correct any errors made in practice tests, and to go over new material.

Students will always be given practice exercises for them to do at home; this homework reinforces the material taught in class and gives the students the opportunity to practice in order to gain speed.
